Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

They are seeking an Ingredient Buyer to manage the procurement of raw materials that support the production of thousands of finished products.

What You’ll Do
- Manage the purchasing and replenishment of raw materials for a high-volume manufacturing facility.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers across the country to ensure reliable product availability.
- Negotiate pricing, monitor freight costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner closely with Production, Quality Assurance, R&D, Logistics, and Accounting to keep materials flowing efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, lead times, shelf life, and potential supply issues before they impact production.
- Support new product initiatives by sourcing ingredients and working with internal stakeholders.
- Help drive inventory accuracy while resolving purchasing and invoice discrepancies.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–8 years of purchasing or procurement experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience buying raw materials or food ingredients such as dairy, oils, spices, commodities, or specialty ingredients.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across operations, quality, production, and supplier partners.
